A pressure cleaning visit goes faster and smoother when the area is ready. These simple steps help protect your belongings and make sure every surface you want cleaned can be reached.
The day before
- Move vehicles off the driveway and out of the way.
- Clear the surfaces: move patio furniture, grills, planters, toys, bikes and doormats.
- Pick up debris like branches, dog toys and loose items.
- Let neighbors or your HOA know if your community asks for notice before exterior work.
Protect the house
- Close all windows and doors, including sliding doors and pet doors.
- Check for gaps around windows or doors that might let water in, and point them out.
- Point out outdoor outlets, lights and cameras so they can be avoided or covered.
- Mention any delicate areas, like loose stucco, damaged screens or fresh landscaping.
Plants, pets and people
- Keep pets indoors during the work.
- Let the crew know about any plants you’re particularly protective of.
- Keep children away from the work area — pressurized water can cause injury.

Water access
Make sure an outdoor spigot is working and accessible. If your spigot is behind a locked gate, unlock it or let us know how to access it.
After the cleaning
- Give surfaces time to dry before putting furniture and planters back.
- If you’re planning to paint, ask how long the walls should dry first.
- Take a look around and mention anything you’d like touched up.
